Description

The Royal Arsenal Riverside development by Berkeley Homes, situated in Woolwich, is in a prime location to witness the stunning views of the River Thames, plus the overground and DLR lines are right on its doorstep. The phase we are involved in is part of their 20 year development programme, building 2,032 homes with wonderful retail space and other commercial use.

Royal Arsenal Riverside has an abundance of history which may be unknown to many. For two centuries, the Royal Arsenal carried out the manufacturing of armaments, proofed ammunition and conducted research into explosives for the British Armed Forces. Before this, it was named as the Woolwich Warren as it was used as a domestic warren within the grounds of Tower Place, a Tudor house. In the late 17th century it was purchased by the Board of Ordnance so that another base of theirs in Woolwich Dockyard could expand. It grew rapidly for 200 years, and by the First World War in 1914, the Arsenal covered 1,285 acres of land, and had approximately 80,000 people employed. Not long after the war, operations began to slow down and the factory eventually closed in 1967, and in 1994 the Ministry of Defence moved out. This leads us to today, where it is currently being redeveloped by Berkeley Homes to create beautiful, luxury apartments.

Consisting of 440 apartments, the bathrooms within this complex comprise of various Saneux products including a bespoke basin as per specifications from the leaders at Berkeley Homes, along with many of our popular ranges such as our INDIGO WCs, FLUSHE 2.0 flushing systems and flush plate, TOOGA brassware, WALKIN shower screens and bath screens, XE shower trays and our AGUA MAISON baths.
